the hotel is in a good location. I think the rooms could use some bathroom upgrades like new tile, flooring and move the showerheads up about a ft. Other than that it was a good place to stay. Who spends a lot of time in the hotel anyway?

Never again!

I will never ever stay at Bahia "Resort" again!! I stayed in room 152, a Bay View Suite. My goodness, it smelled like it needed some major plumbing. The place is old, there was spiders and bugs around the room. I will say, the manager handled the situation how she could. We ended up downgrading to a standard room just for the night. I ...
From the outside the hotel looks very nice. When pulling up we were really excited and were impressed by the grounds the hotel was on. The checking in process was smooth and everyone was very helpful. Also, as requested we had a bottle of wine and cheese waiting for us in our room.
The only downfall was the room itself. The room was quite ...

The bahia would not have been a disapointment if we had gotten what we were promised. We reserved a wheelchair accessible room, but they gave it away to someone in a wedding party and gave us a "free upgrade" to a non-accessible room. Once things were resolved and we got a free upgraded accessible room, we were very happy.
The pool is ...

Had a Great Time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/16/06
I thought the Bahia was very nice. The rooms are older, but they are clean. The grounds are beautiful! We stayed in a Bayside Suite which was very large. We were on the 2nd floor and had a nice view of the Bay. We stayed mid-week so it was very peaceful. It is only a few blocks away from Mission Beach. The Bahia Belle also was alot of fun! I would definately recommend the resort to others.
If you get it for under $100 it is an ok hotel. If you are use to higher standards you will be disappointed. My family came to visit and had three rooms that were good for being on the water.
What I had a problem with was bizarre things like parking not being reserved to your room, once you are there you will understand. If you leave you will ...
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend away from our kids. We enjoyed being able to walk out of our sliding door and be so close to the bay. The breakfast was wonderful and the grounds are beautiful.
It was very close to Mission Beach, Pacific Beach & Seaworld & not too far to the zoo & La Jolla. It's a little old & run down, but it's ok if you're out & about all day, and only need to shower & sleep there.

As an employee of an upper-upscale hotel chain, I was disappointed with our experience at the Bahia. Our flight arrived later at night than planned, and we were very tired and eager to get to our room. However, the front desk check-in process and equipment is so antiquated that it took 20 minutes to complete, even though we were the only ones in ...
