My family having been going to this hotel since I was a child! I am 42. Its a wonderful place right on the ocean, not fancy, who needs fancy when you have that view?? Every time I think of Vacation I think of this hotel. :)

Lisa is the mostly friendly desk clerk! Our room was clean and had a great view. We will be back every year.

We had an enjoyable time but wished there were no smoking rooms. They let us look at several rooms and we found one that did not smell bad so we took it, otherwise we would of looked elsewhere. The air conditioner could of been cooler and they need to limit guest to only one car per family in the main parking lot. It is a very friendly place to visit and we will go back if they get no smoking rooms.

Makai Beach Lodge is we have found over the years to be the best this area has to offer. Both owners and staff are always nothing but kind! Have been staying for many years and likewise did our parents in retirement. Cannot say how pleased we are and always have been with Makai. A home away from home!

Rooms cleaned and linens replaced daily by friendly, courteous staff. Great outside pool with separate place for relaxing in the sun. We had a wonderful experience and plan on returning to this hotel.

We have been going to the Makai for over ten years. We think they are just wonderful. They have nice accomadating staff and affordable. You can step out on your balcony and have a full view of the ocean if you like sit and enjoy the breeze or you can step of the motel property right on to the beach. It's just great what can I say!

I enjoy staying at the Makai everytime I stay in the Daytona area. It is far enough away from the noise of Spring Break, but close enough to still enjoy the atmosphere. A nice, quiet, pleasant place to stay. The service there is second to none.

If you want a great hotel for a great price com to the Makai. I have been there three times. I live in Illinois and every time now after we went to the Hawaiian Inn we have gone here. It is really great. Don't go to the Hawaiian Inn,It sucks.
