Great rooms w/ heated floors, spaceous washrooms and big fireplaces. Perfect view from the balcony, close to trails and minutes from main street banff. Food could be a little better, but many restaraunts and bars nearby. I recommend this resort for anyone, anytime. Worth the money in my opinion! I cannot wait to go back.

I can't understand the favourable comments about this place. I was there in September 2007. I just had a bad feeling about it as soon as I arrived and tried to get out of my booking without success. Perhaps my room was not one of the deluxe ones referred to by other reviewers, I don't know, but it was shabby and dingy and the furnishings ...

This hotel is one of the best in Banff. This was one of the nicest rooms I have stayed anywhere. I would suggest you splurge and upgrade to one the deluxe rooms, with heated floors in the bathrooms!

Great place to stay although a little out of the way. Having a car is a must but the tradeoff is worth it. Quiet and great scenery make for a wonderful retreat. The Buffalo Mountain Lodge is a great retreat. You have your privacy, fireplace, a nice walk into town, excellent food at the restuarant. What more can you ask for? It is very clean and the employees are there to please. We have been there three times and will continue to visit the Lodge.
