LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE INN AND ITS STAFF. WE WILL ALWAYS USE IT FOR OUR CHARLESTON VACATIONS. MINI SUITE WAS EXCELLENT VALUE - WALKING DISTANCE TO WHOLE HISTORIC DISTRICT.

Too many bad things to mention including poor customer service, noisy, over priced, parking lot flooded etc.
The staff was rude and unwilling to try to make things better.
Owner remained unavailable for contact.
Very dissatisfied.

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 09/16/05
The Ansonborough is a fabulous place to stay while in Charleston. The location is great. It is within 2 blocks from the market area. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The artwork is lovely throughout the inn. They have great views of the Cooper River and bridge. We stayed twice in 2005 and hope to return again for a third visit in October.
We arrived to check into our "regular" room and were upgraded to a suite. They had the room available and didn't want it to go unused. It was beautiful. The rooms were decorated with taste and the spaciousness made us feel extra special. We'll stay here again for sure.

Couldnt Ask For More
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 06/12/05
I have stayed in Charleston many times, but no other hotel/Inn has been as wonderful as this one. The staff is unbelieveably friendly and went out of their way to make us happy. The size of the rooms are enormous, and beautifully decorated with oil paintings of wildlife and nature scenes. When i return to Charleston, I am definitely staying here again.

awesome experience
By A Yahoo! Contributer, 03/21/05
The reception area is beautifully set in well kept wood surrounded by cathedral ceilings, and that was just the beginning. The rooms and hallways are as asthetically pleasing. The dining area was small, but cozy. The food was excellent. There are a variety of room styles. We have stayed in 3 types, all equally comfortable and warming. The entire Inn has charming character from the wooden stair cases to the welcoming and helpful staff.
