2nd time and not going backour reservation was not correct. good thing we called prior to getting there. for the price we knew not to expect a 4 star hotel but somethings like being able to the dresser draws to unpack your clothes would have been nice. What Do You Expect for Price?The location is excellent; the hotel is old, run-down and in need of renovation. But, if you check on other beachside places you will pay twice as much. It's two blocks down the boardwalk to the bandstand with live music each night, and there are a number of restaurants on the boardwalk. IT'S HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!The only good thing about this resort is the location. It looks nothing like the pictures on the web site so don't be fooled.
The furniture is old, dirty and in some cases broken. The rooms smell horrible, the wires are all sticking out of the walls, the toilet ran all night, the floors and bathrooms are dirty. Unbelievably Horrible!Do not, I repeat, Do NOT stay at this hotel! It looks like something from a horror movie! This was definitely the worst hotel I have ever seen. The hotel is not even located on a normal street. It looks like an alley. You have to park in this parking lot where you can't see your car and it's kind of far away from the hotel door. No StarsWe found the Sheldon to be very run down and in need of major renovation. Also, we were informed that there were many complaints from past guests and the hotel has code violations currently being investigated. The only positive thing I can say is that the location is good. Pretty shabbyThe location was great, right on the beach and the people were friendly but the Sheldon is in need of some maintenance. The exterior is dreary, the halls dark and the room furnishings are very worn. The toilet ran all night and the door was broken.
