fire alarm went off at 10:30 pm, everyone had to evacuate for 30 min-1hr, no fire, no explanation, no apology, elevator was out of order for duration of stay, no help w/ luggage, train was loud, but we were told ahead of time, highly disappointed
Nice size room.Comfortable king size bed. Wireless internet wouldn't work and clerk couldn't help.Hair in bathroom floor.Train could be heard diring night.Avoid staying in rear of motel.Used coupon and paid extra 10 for king bed.Wouldn't stay again unless internet fixed.

Virginia vacation

My wife and I have just spent a wonderful five days at Staunton. The staff were excellent friendly and helpful. Staunton was a great place to be for tripping, plenty to see and we found Viginians lovely people:attended the Blackfriars Theatre, visited Monticello, toured several vinyards, the Colonial Farm museum, pleasant shopping, attended St Francis ...
We enjoyed the pool, the breakfast and our room. However, beware of the train track side of the hotel. THis was my third stay here, but the first time "on the tracks" and it was noisy when the trains blew through!

Cigarette smoke odor left in hallway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/04
We stayed Dec.20,2004 and seem like renovations were being done on the same floor of our room. The corridors were filled with room furniture and stench of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room section.
