The room smelled bad because of a leaking AC. The room was clean and beds we comfy. The staff was nice but the AC down in the lobby was broken and they were having to work in awful heat.

Will not stay there again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/09
The day before we were to depart for our trip to Gettysburg, we were informed that the hotel was no longer a Holiday Inn Express. We were told that it was now a Super 8, but that everything was the same: accomodations, food, etc. Upon our arrival we found this not to be the case
A few weeks before we were to visit Gettysburg, I personally ...
This was a nice hotel and the staff was great. We had a problem with the cleanliness of our room. Our room was switched twice and we finally ended up in a nice clean room. I believe the particular housekeeper that day did not change any of the beds on her shift or on her particular hall. The managers there were wonderful and took care of our ...
The Holiday Inn Express in Gettysburg, PA, although situated somewhat outside of the town, is still centrally located to much of what you might want to see. The drive into town is a mere mile and some places are actually within walking distance! The breakfast was filling and ample and our room was ultra comfortable. Why stay closer to town, and pay twice the price? We don't even need to look elsewhere. We've found exactly what we wanted.

Returned five years straight
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/28/08
What's not to like? I have brought my family the past five years for the Thanksgiving Holidays. We don't have family in the area but those folks who take care of us at H.I.E. are just as good. My family (6 of us) look forward to this get-a-way. We love this place. One year I took a dvd player and projector and showed a movie in the lobby ...

Very nice!

The hotel overall was great. It was convenient to restaurants and the historic area. The staff was great and so was the continental breakfast. The rooms were neat and clean and the beds were comfortable. I stayed there with 2 other middle aged woman and felt absolutely safe all of the time. I would go back and recommend this hotel to othes.
The Holiday Inn Express in Gettysburg is the standard Holiday Inn Express model. It is situated on the northeast side of town, out of the congestion of the National Park traffic. That is both good and bad: you are out of the crush of crowds but you have to drive into town and try to find a place to park to go see things.
Everyone at this hotel was very nice & helpful. I travel with my dog here yearly& though he's well behaved I do need abit of help with certain things,as he's a larger dog (70 lbs). He made an escape from my room one morning ran past the breakfast area (UGH).... no one got upset they just smiled & pet him til I got the leash on.

It was an average hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/05
I was double charged for the room. Once when I reserved the room with Yahoo Travel and second when I checked out from the hotel. And to top that off, the price Yahoo quoted me (best rate available) was actually $21.00 more then what I was charged by the hotel. I will file this with my credit card company to dispute these charges. I don't need this aggrivation.
