The hotel is huge, and crowds can be maddening and noisy, but, the quality of the accommodation is great and the location is pleasant with a nice beach. One of the best buffets in Kauai, too.

Incredibly expensive but fun for couples and families
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/04
Everything you buy at the Hyatt Regency Kauai will be three times as expensive as you expect. Basic hotel room, $450/night. Small glass of orange juice, $5. Appetizer with dinner, $15. The prices pay for a lot of services though. Couples enjoy romantic dinners at six different restaurants, golf, and visits to the full-service spa. Families ...
From the moment the valet opens your door, this place is heavenly. The staff is very friendly, informative, and polite. The rooms (ours overlooked the ocean) are wonderful, we arrived after dark, the next day we awoke to the ocean... breath-taking. Hawaiian coffee left in room helps start your day off right. The grounds are immaculate, and you ...
Kauai reminds you of the romantic and rural Hawaii you saw in the old Elvis movies. The Hyatt Regency compliments those images perfectly. Sure, the beach is not as accomodating as Ka'anapali beach in Maui but it's still a special place. The grounds are spectacular. You can stay busy in the pools or lagoon or just find a place to relax. The ...
Best value for the money if you want class and service. And the pool is excellet for families. Kauai is laid-back and not for the Las Vegas types who want action. If you want that go to Waikiki.
This hotel is fabulous. It is nice without being too posh. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is fantastic. Poipu Bay golf course is challenging, yet easily playable by the average golfer. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
We stayed at this hotel several years ago. It was recommended by imgetnmarried.com. We had an extremely romantic time. As we went on the various events around the property we found out that our 13 days was nothing to many of the guests, who were staying 2-4 weeks. This property realllly takes you away from your woes. The rooms are between ...

Great honeymoon
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/04
Last year we spent part of our honeymoon here as part of the Island Hopper from Hyatt. Out of the 3 Hyatt`s in HI, this is the best one hands down. I wish we had spent the whole time here, and my wife is already making plans to go back. The service is great and the food is excellent, especially Tidepools. Highly recommend it!

Honey moon fun!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/26/04
We stayed at the Hyatt in Kauai for our first stop in Hawaii on our homeymoon in 1999. This was the best hotel that I have ever stayed at. This trip the best. We are saving to go back and we will not stay anywhere else. The staff was wonderful, the food was great, the luau was fun and the stevensons library had the most beautiful view and atmosphere. 100% reccommended.
