We stayed at Johnson's on our honeymoon when it was small pine-paneled cabins and was owned and operated by the two Johnson sisters. We have gone back many times over the years, by ourselves and with our children. We are now planning a stay there with our grandchildren. We will celebrate our 50th anniversary this year.
Johnson's is a great place to stay in Gatlinburg, comfortable, clean and a great location.

Pros:

This place is truly a gem. We had no idea it was tucked away just a block off the main drag. Everything is within easy walking distance, so parking isn't a hassle and since it is on a side street, it is quiet and relaxing. It was a dump!
No place for a baby's crib (playpen). The bathroom was old and dingy looking.
I needed to wash some clothes (due to child spitting up) they did not have laundry detergent.

I loved staying at Johnson's Inn.
It is downtown near all the attractions Gatlinburg has to offer.
The continental breakfast was good.
The room was neat and clean and the service was great.
Everyone was nice to us while we were there and very informative about directions to other places to visit while being in the Smokies.

Absolutely loved the location. Hardly moved my vehicle except to drive to shop in the outlets and crafts locations. This was the first time I had ever traveled alone and I felt very safe in this wonderful little inn. Everyone was so very friendly and helpful. My plans are to change my beach vacation to this wonderful part of the world. See you in the late fall/early winter.

Have stayed there in the past and loved it. We were a little surprised that some of the basics in the room needed repaired such as door knob to balcony falls off and toilet runs all the time. As always, the service was great and the location is very convenient to everything.
