You cannot beat the location of this place. It is close enough to everything you could possibly want to do, but you don't have it in your face. It is far enough off the main drag that you don't get a lot of people/traffic noise. I was there the week of July 17th, 2006. The breakfast is, as advertised, a typical continental breakfast; if ...

Want be back!!!!

This is the third year that our family has stayed at Johnson's Inn. We know it's outdated. Most of our visits the rooms needed some work but were clean. This year we decided to get the two room suite since our child has become a teen and would have a friend. There was no a/c in the second room so my husband and I roasted. When we got there ...

Excellent at Johnson's Inn!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/16/06
I loved this place...Good walking distance to the Village and downtown Parkway...Excellent service...I had to go down at around 10pm and ask for extra towels, and they just gave them to us just like that....Very nice people...Very, very clean...The only problem that I had was that the shower head had hardly any pressure, but that was all the ...

Clean but dated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/06/06
The Johnson's Inn is staffed by VERY nice people who certainly want you to have a nice time. The issue is simple. many of the amenities that guests have come to expect are simply not available.
The room was clean but dated. The staff nice and competent. The location acceptable.

Made really welcome
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/06
I loved the location of Johnsons inn and the peace and quiet. You are in the heart of everything and yet no hustle and bustle. The wee walk to "The Village" and the centre of Gatlinburg was a minute or two which for me being a poor walker was ideal. The rooms were lovely and clean and there was ample parking at the Inn. Everyone was ...

Very friendly place to stay! The location was wonderful. Had a good night's sleep. It's an older hotel but the upkeep was well maintained. If we ever pass through Gatlinburg again, I will make sure the Johnson's Inn is where we'll stay!
We've stayed with johnsons on a few occaisons and have found the people to be very nice and the hotel is very clean. It was also close walking distance to town and our favorite breakfast spot, the Pancake Pantry

50th Anniversary celebration
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/12/06
We had spent our honeymoon in Gatlinburg,50 years ago and we wanted to come back to celebrate our 50th. We got one of those books that tell about the rates and aminites of the hotels in the area. We picked Johnson's Inn because it featured a continental breakfast and had a rate we liked. We decided to stay two nights while we looked for ...

Don't Be Fooled by the Pictures!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/06
I recently stayed at the Johnson Inn , memorial day weekend. I was totally shocked by the real thing. The pictures were very misleading. The room was far from clean, and older wasn't the main problem. I had pre-paid for one night, to pay for second nite upon arrival. We had car trouble all nite and barely made it to this room. When we told the ...
