Within the last 5 years, It is the first hotel without a coffee pot or a refrigerator in the room.
The restaurant was elegant, not for family dinning.
The service was good from the porter and the maids. Kind of a cool treatment when I asked employees at the desk information for a close restaurant outside of the hotel.

For the Bay area, this hotel is very nice and inexpensive; within 10 miles of SF Int'l Airport, and near many high tech firms. The hotel has a free shuttle to/from the SF Int'l Airport, but you have to call them and tell them you're a guest of the hotel for them to actually come and pick you up.
Their staff doesn't quite know how ...

I was a speaker at a conference at this hotel. I called 3 days before the conference to book a room and they told me NO ROOMS.
Even though I'm a speaker at the conference (and, supposably, they had rooms reserved for speakers).
LOUSY service. TERRIBLE phone personnel (I got a 'too bad.. go away' tone).

The location is remote and not close to anything touristy, but the hotel itself is beautiful. With a real french flair, it relaxing atmosphere is a true delight. Wonderful food at the restaurant and live entertainment make for a great night out without needing to leave the hotel!

This hotel has it all: courteous and sincere service, well-appointed accomodations, superior value, beautiful view (of lagoon and Oracle HQ), and a french bakery/restaurant.
