We had never been to Hollywood before, and I will admit I was a little concerned because the place looked small. But, as soon as we parked and walked in for our rooms we were welcomed and I could see it was a beautiful place. Every morning you wake up to the aroma of the flowers they have everywhere. The manager and his wife were absolutely ...
This place has the worst customer service I have ever had at a hotel. They were rude and snappy. This was our first time visiting Hollywood and they were of no help in making our experience a nice one, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone nor will we be returning unless they properly train their staff in customer service and hospitality

Do Not Book Your Stay Here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/13/07
I booked a room here for a Saturday night stay and they over-sold their rooms! They claimed they had "stayovers" from Friday but it was obvious that wasn't true and they simply over-sold. They acted as if they did us a favor by reserving a room for us at the Super 8 on Western Ave - which we had to pay for! What a nightmare! Shame on them...... I would not take a chance on booking a room here!
We loved everything about this classic Hollywood Inn!
The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful with all questions and service. The courtyard is filled with luscious, tropical plants that surround the azure pool with relaxing, saline water.
The location of the Downtowner couldn't be better either. Not only could we see Griffith ...

Good value for comfortable stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/07/07
Stayed at this great little motel for a week whilst attending a conference in town. The front desk staff were very polite and always extremely helpful, even in the early hours of the morning and on checking in late.
I found the room to be very comfortable, spacious and the bathroom to be pretty adequate. The walls of the bathroom and baths do ...

Bitten by BedBugs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/06
We were bitten by many bedbugs when stayed in Room 6 of this hotel on Sep 1st 2006. We killed about two dozen bugs which left blood marks everywhere on the bed sheets. The hotel manager blamed these bugs were brought in by the guests who stayed in the room ealier. We don't beleive him at all because there were so many bugs. The manger was not nice at all and refused to fully refund us.
My boyfriend and I had stayed there for 4 days, and we had a great time. It has good location, which is closed to Hollywood attractions and only few blocks away from freeway. The service was great too. The front desk people are warm, friendly and helpful. The most important thing is the reasonable room rate. With this budget price, we were happy and satisfied with what we got.

Website pictures Deceiving
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/06
As we were driving down Hollywood Blvd. I kept thinking that the area would get nicer as we went along. Well it didn't, then we found the hotel! I was a bit concerned while I cautiously drove into the lot in the back of the hotel. Our first encounter was that our room was not available and that it was still being used. So they put us, 1 ...

Bad Neighborhood, Old Stale Rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/06
Not a nice place to stay. The neighborhood is bad, street people everywhere. The main office is locked at all times, even during the day. The rooms are old and stale. The bathrooms are crummy. The place attracts loud undesirables that kept me awake at night. The parking is also tight and hard to get into, and it's not locked at night, so ...

Hollywoods best kept secret
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/06
we stayed for two weeks in april and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The service was great, the front desk people made us feel right at home, and their doughnuts for the continental breakfast were to die for. You could tell that the owner cared about his property and renovations were being done(fairly quitely)while we were there. As for location it was ...
