Most B&B reviews rave about the friendly staff. It's easy to think that you'd have to really love serving guests if you want to open a B&B. But the Green Lantern Inn staff disproves the point; exactly one of the five staff members I encountered over four days smiled at me, and that was after I'd checked out.
The room was ...

Cramped Quarters

This facility does not have the "charm" of most B&B. Run down facility and damp sheets and towels do not a pleasant stay make. Breakfast was adequate, room was small. Go elsewhere to get your money's worth. The location is good, but the accommodations are not comfortable.

Nice Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/04
Arrived after dark and left very early. Stayed in Holly and what you see on the website is literally all there is to that room. It was small, cozy, and comfortable. When all is quiet you can hear the ocean. The staff was very accomodating. We missed breakfast. Very close to shops and beach. For the price, we would stay here again.
This quiet little inn captures the old-fashioned charm of Carmel. We stayed in a lovely room and the service was wonderful. A very short walk to the beach and Ocean Ave.
