I love this place, everybody is so damn nice and for the area the rooms and buffet are great, if you win a little or have extra money go to the plateau room best food in southern Idaho/Northern Nevada. I just started going here and I love it I dont always win but I ALWAYS have fun and the servers give out drinks way more than any other casino I ...

Not Impressed

Location? I guess that it is ok considering you can throw a rock from one end of the town to the other. Had to wait for 15 minutes to check out. Buffet overpriced and simply restaurant food. Smelly room with loud air conditioning. I won't say anymore. Save your money and go to the next town in Nevada. Depressing is more like it.

Luv You Guys
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/29/09
I am a regular at Cactus Petes and have been for years. I grew up in Nevada and my father knew with the original owner. He always had funny stories about him. I think he would be proud of the way the hotel and casino have grown. I love the the renovations the rooms are awesome and even though I loose sometimes I love to visit often. Tooooo often

Horrible for business travel!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/09
Stayed here on a business trip and was put in a room across the highway with no internet access whatsoever. Crossed the street over to the main hotel where the "computer room" (a closet with two limited computers and payphones) had no access. Was sent to the adjacent RV park in the rain where I wrote this review. If you are staying in Jackpot on business, be sure to book in the main hotel or just avoid altogether.

Not a fun place anymore!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/09/09
Buffet is over priced and no prime rib. The overall food quality has gone down hill. Slots are so tight you just can't win. We do well over at Bartons.

Ok stay all together a few problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/08
Our room smelled like raw sewage. when I called the front desk and told them she said she could not move us that they had no more rooms. I then asked if someone could at least come see if it could be fixed so when the maintance guy came up and realize it was indeed raw sewage well it was amazing how they had a room to move us to right away :) Other than that the room was very nice and clean and the bed was comfortable.
Cactus Pete's is no longer a place where we like to go as in years past when we loved to go. The service is terrible, the food is not even close to what it was. The dinner shows are gone. There are no perks and basically the whole place has gone down hill and the only reason that I can see is the place must be under new ownership. Most of our friends feel the same way and just cannot understand it.

Reservations make the trip!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/28/08
A couple weeks ago we called for reservations at Cactus Pete's and the young lady Casey was very helpful getting us a nice room. When we first called, there were only rooms across the street and we told her we wanted to stay at the casino. She said to book there and she would keep looking for us. Two days later, she called and said she got us ...
