My mother, sisters, daughter and I have been going every summer for years now. That"s how much we enjoy the views, the many little shops and the hotel itself. The time flies, even without the TV and phones in the rooms, not to mention no internet. It is a very relaxing atmosphere which is one of the main reasons we go. It is also a great deal ...
I've been going to the Hotel Lenhart with my husbands family for over 7 years now and each time it gets better and better. We took our daughter there for the 1st time last year and she had a wonderful time, sitting on the front porch. We also had a room right off the front porch which made it nice for us so we could check in on her while she ...
Absolutely charming! If you enjoy thinking about how things used to be, then this is the place for you. What a deal, too. Price includes breakfast and dinner. Most enjoyable is sitting on the huge front porch and rocking the afternoon away...watching the boats and the unending string of people walking by...it was very entertaining! Add a nice ...

It took us back a century - it was relaxing and charming - fun rockin' on the porch - comfy bar and excellent food and service, at a good price - not far from the Institute - - some 2007 amendities missing but it's ambiance overcame that for us, and gave us a history lesson
Eventually on a good night out you'll make it to this place. This bar is ok.

Be careful

We stayed 2 nights and there was a wedding group staying as well. Everyone from the wedding got so drunk and caused much noise and commotion the entire night. There are no phones in the bedrooms and once an argument broke out and one guy mentioned a gun and was going to shoot everyone, we freaked!!! I would find other accommodations. The night clerk was no where to be found.

We're going back for the second time this season

It has so much character and is old fashion. Right on the water with a great view of the sunset. Very relaxing place to get away from it all.

If you want plush- this isn't the place for you but it is full of nastalgia and the food is good. We rented a Pontoon boat for the day and the little Village there is wonderful. We love having a glass of wine on the porch while sitting in the big wooden rocking chairs. Love it - planning the next visit. Oh yeah.. breakfast and dinner ...

Beauty is only skin deep at Lenhart
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/05
My wife and I have stayed in many historic inns and B&B's, so we know what to expect. Unfortunately, the Hotel Lenhart just doesn't deliver even basic cleanliness. Yes it has a great location, right on the water and is quite charming to look at, but the rooms are a different story. We stayed in one of the most expensive rooms with a water ...
