Our room was large and comfortable. My wife and I searched the old hotel, all the doors were open. The majority of the rooms were large and spacious. All the rooms were decorated differently. We spend one wonderful night here on our escape from our day to day jobs. Wish that we had more time here to explore the history... so charming and friendly. The stories about the mining era are haunting. Step back in time at this Hotel.

We went on vacation and stayed in Durango, Ouray and Silverton. After getting to the Grand Imperial in Silverton we had wished we wouldn't have stayed anywhere else.
