Hard to reconcile our experience with some of the other reviewers. Our unit was clean, comfortable, quiet and had everything we needed for a good stay in a great location. You do need a car unless you want to do a lot of walking down to town and back. There are no restaurants nearby.

The fact that my associates were a little noisy this past Saturday (Sept. 09) night shouldn't have necessitated the hasty (5min) eviction notice before 12 AM, given no time to clean up (extra costs incurred) and refusal to call a taxi to vacate. I'm sure even high-paying business execs would receive the same treatment, so I'll be sure to spread the word against Hidden Ridge Resorts.

This place at one time might have been worth the 300 bucks a night we paid but not now. It's old and run down, the rooms are small, the kitchen equipment is dirty and busted. I got one of the un-renovated suites and it was terrible. There was dust all over the place, stains all over the carpet, the kitchen was old, the bed sank into the middle so I spent most of the night pulling myself out of the middle of the bed, and it had a stale smell to the place. I have stayed at Hidden Ridge now for the last three consecutive years. My family and I are planning a very special birthday celebration for our 75 year old mother in the mountains this fall at Hidden Ridge. I can't wait to surprise them all with the beauty, the service, and above all the properties themselves. I always feel like I'm going "home" when we arrive. Can't wait to visit there again. Very secluded - so if you don't mind a bit of a trek to find the place it's perfect.

Huge outdoor hottub and very friendly staff (all Auzies' in winter).
