If you just want a bed and shower, this is the place for you. Staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Reception is open 24 hrs so someone is available to help you at any time. We loved how cute this hotel seemed on the outside. We much prefer to stay at NON-chain hotels so this is the way we travel. But once we got inside, it seemed so dirty. We hit this hotel on our way back from the grand canyon. If you are traveling east into Albuquerque I recommend taking the Historic 66 exit. The view of Albuquerque at night coming down the hill is just like a movie. The city lights are just spread out before you.
But I digress. This hotel was one of the nicest we stayed in on our budget ...

stayed five days, staff was very helpful, clean and basic but nicely furnished rooms. The location is great, right on the main road between downtown and the "old town" tourist area (and just down the street from the downtown nightlife). I plan to go back and stay there again.
