We loved this nice and clean hotel located near Venice Beach where we were working a few days. The rooms were very comfortabe and very clean. And the breakfast had a nice choice of cereal waffles and fruits which was served in their nice courtyard. THe staff were very accomodating especially Dan who went out of his way to assist with our departing flight to Germany. All this for $105.00 was quiet a bargain.

My wife and I syayed at this hotel while our house was being renovated. The staff and the manager David were always very proffessional and helpful and was always there to assist us with our needs. The room was very clean and comfortable and the microwave and fridge really came in handy. They also offer a nice continental breakfast every morning. If you are looking for a clean, safe and economical hotel the Jolly roger is the place.

We stayed at the Jolly Roger in May 2008 for our daughter's USC graduation. It was perfect for this trip. We were only a block from her apartment, so very convenient. Our room was spacious and clean. i was given a room that was infested with bugs ... dirty windows, floors etc.
i was treated with discourtesy by the manager who refused to refund the credit card charge i paid in advance even though i returned the keys and found a more pleasant and cleaner accomodation.

VERY good for the price with nice helpful people and big breakfast. Lovely south turned clean spa. Big rooms, new nice clean bathrooms, a microwave, TV and freedge in the rooms. Coffee and tea 24/7 in the lobby. Safe indoor parking, fountains infront and in court yard. Been there twice and coming back! Lots of good dining opportunities, clubs, and shopping. Nice area close to harbour and Venice Beach. Best place out of 14 tried in 21 days.

By California standards, an excellent value. The location is terrific....close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier. Many good smaller casual restaurants within walking distance. The free covered parking was also a plus. We stayed for a week and had a LARGE single room with a comfortable queen size bed. The room was kept clean except we did notice a few small bugs in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I stay at the Jolly Roger every time I play in a National Paddle Tennis Tournament at Venice Beach.
My last stay was a little disappointing in that my girl friend left a black body suite in the room and it was not found. Since she is a former model and 5'11" I doubt if anyone else could wear the body suit. It may have been caught ...

What a find. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff were the most helpful and courteous I've met at any hotel. whether business or pleasure I highly recomend this hotel. With free wireless internet, and continental breakfast it is quiet a bargain.
