We were stranded because of a Ferry cancellation, due to high winds. We had walked on at Keystone, so no car. We walked to the Tides from the Ferry dock. Although the Tides Inn had no vacancies, "Skeeter" (?) helped us find lodging elsewhere for the night. He spent at least half an hour on the phone trying to find something for us. We ...
Lovely room with a spectacular view. Clean, roomy and very tastefyully decorated. Nice staff. We highly recommend it for a romantic weekend. We ate at the BayView restaurant, a short walk north. Nice. We had a problem with the key card to our room a couple of times. other than that everything went smoothly.

Will find somewhere else to stay next time!

We were very disappointed with the Tides Inn. I guess we stayed in the older part of the hotel and it was in serious need of updating. The furnishings looked like they were from the 1950's, the linens were yellowed and thin. The bathroom was really used up with lifting linoleum, stained shower floor, banged up woodwork, etc. The ...

Good for road trip

The lady at the front counter was amazing. We had to leave very early next morning and couldn’t have breakfast at the hotel and all restaurants were closed at the time. She let us pick up as much food as we wanted for breakfast the night before. She recommended us some great pleases for dinner, lunch and breakfast. We stayed in the old part ...

Dirty, Dirty, Dirty

I want to start off by saying that I am a hotel manager of a corporately owened hotel with 120 rooms. I know all the different things that can happen in hotels when it comes to cleanliness, maintenance, and human error. I know that sometimes a person gets checked into a dirty room, or maintenance issues are not addresses, and I know what it looks ...

I always come back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/07
I have stayed in both sides...the reviews are pretty accurate...both the good and bad.
The new rooms are probably the best in town when considering the view. They are swell.
The older part is where a key scene in "Officer and a Gentleman" takes place. So while the older rooms are...well...OLDER they are still decent and the view ...

Don't stay in the older part!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/07
When we called to book a room based upon the internet pictures the front desk man totally mislead us. We would have been happy to pay extra in order to have a clean room. We were told that for $10 more we could have the Officer in a Gentleman Room with a Hot Tub. Upon arrival the room didn't look as though it's been cleaned since they ...

Wonderful Weekend!

We loved everything about The Tide's Inn. The view is amazing and the room was perfect. The jacuzzi tub and comfy bed make it a great place for a romantic getaway. We can't wait to go back!

Some unfortunate problems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/06
I booked a room over the phone and was told that they had a Queen Room with a Hot Tub on the balcony. When we arrived, here is the sequence of events that occurred: 1) Entered room to find that base heater was cranked up all the way and room was a stifling temperature. Tried to turn off and was unable to do so. More on that later. 2) Overall ...
