When we first arrived the place was hardly full yet the front desk clerk, (with little personality) put us in a room 15 ft away from where a swarm of bees were just being sprayed, so the beekeeper had to come racing over as we were unpacking our car and warm us that we may get stung??? and might want to repark our car for our safety. No sidewalks...you have to walk in gravel along the busy highway to get to any restaurants, etc. No pitchers of cold water available for guests in the lunch area, and the service was verging on rude.
This Country Inn & Suites in Tucson, AZ was right off a main road with lots of places to shop and lots of restaurants around! The hotel staff was great and the hotel was really nice and clean and great for families that were passing through. The only negative thing we could say was that the air conditioning units were a bit loud and we did have trouble getting to sleep.

A motel designed by M. C. Escher?

A decent mid-price hotel, but the "suites" are very small. The layout is strange, with endless ramps and stairways; it feels like the place was designed by M. C. Escher! Rooms on the front, facing Oracle Road, are a bit noisy. Ask for a room in back, overlooking Tohono Chul Park.
