This quiet motel is a fabulous find, we were well rested in a nice clean room. Their rates are the best downtown and the ammenities were a much better treat. The wifi and phone calls were free. The hot tub, sauna and homebaked blueberry muffins were the best!! Will definately be back to try the fishing in the San Juan next summer, which by the ...

We love this place. It is always so clean. The homemade sweet rolls and blueberry muffins in the morning are a treat. The owneres are always around and working hard. They will stop what they are doing to tell you where to eat or things to do. There is a fishing pond in the back as well as access to the river. My family loves this place esp. ...

Great location & very nice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/07
This is a great hotel to stay in, they have the best of everything, clean and comfortable rooms, friendly service and exceptional front desk knowledge about where everything is located. But the best thing is the yummy homemade cinnamon rolls baked fresh every morning. The aroma is awesome to wake up to. We will be back during ski season for the best ski package in town.
We stayed at the First Inn of Pagosa and had a wonderful time. The room was very clean with new furniture and quiet. The pool, hot tub and dry sauna were wonderful. The convenience walking distance to restaurants, shopping and downtown Pagosa was so nice. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to the Pagosa Springs area.

Caught some huge trout by walking out the back door, between two ponds to the river! Great location. Enjoyed my stay. I will make it a regular stop this summer. Enjoyed the friendly staff and guests. I will go back.

Very mediocre room, with a high class price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/11/07
Room and hotel on the low side of average. Clean enough but cracks in sink, burned out light bulbs, cigarette burns gave this place a sleazy feel. Good location, full of skiers, below average continental breakfast. Worst was the price $75 AAA, should have been $50.

Everything was great. They had brand new furniture. Sporting goods and river very close. I like staying at owner operated establishments. Their efforts to please are much higher than chains. Pool hottub, pool and sauna was fantastic!

Would not return

We stayed in March 2006. They had a very large church group, they sell to groups and give discouted lift tickets, it was like staying in a frat house. The rooms may have been recently remodled but they never painted over anything patched and the carpet and curtains were dirty and stained.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/05
we have stayed at three hotels up the hill in pagosa springs. not a single one left us to vacation as comfortable as the First Inn. great homemade continental breakfast made fresh daily, really no store bought muffins or pastries. unbelievable service! if you visit pagosa springs, this is a must for accomidations.
