First time visiting Virginia Beach. This is where we will stay again next year. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Art and Joann for accomodating us and making our stay even better. Free bikes to ride on boardwalk and town, this was a very nice feature. All rooms beachfront and short distance from beach and boardwalk.

this is not a fancy hotel. the building is old and seems small compared with many of the high-rises in the area. but it is very clean and well maintained.

the staff was friendly, informative and very helpful with directions and recommendations for food and activities.

This was our first experience at Va. Beach & the location of the hotel was perfect. It was clean and the people working were very nice! We will come back. Compared to the other hotels, this was most affordable for an oceanfront room!

My husband and I stayed at the Econolodge to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary. The stay was above average. The hotel is quiet and family oriented. This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed. I was worried reading some of the reviews, but my experience June 28 - July 1 2006 was great.
- Very clean comfortable rooms right on the beach and free bikes rentals.
- Pay extra for a ocean view balcony, best feature of the motel. Prime location.
- Parking works but you are cramped.
- Free breakfast was adequate.

We stayed here for a weekend in 2006. We rented ajoining rooms for 9 people. Though this is a little small compared to other hotels in the area, I cannot complain. "We disliked the room service, because we had to call on serveral occassions for the beds to be made, also the pool indoors only went to 4ft,that was not enough water for adults to enjoy.

The service last year was excellent! Very pleasant staff, clean and quiet rooms and best of all it is very inexpensive! My husband and I went for our anniversary and look forward to going back this year!
