My family and I had a great time in Cooperstown and enjoyed staying at the Tunnicliff Inn. The place was clean and Tom, the manager was very helpful and kind. The breakfastbuffet was great and the food in the Pit, the hotels tavern, was fantastic. The hotel is close to everything. All is within walking distance. It was a little cold the weekend we went but the walks were great. I would recommend the Inn to all.

A great experience! We will definitely be back!
By Nicky, 04/07/09
The Tunnicliff Inn was beautiful, quiet, and perfectly located in the center of town! The manager Tom was very helpful and accommodating! The room (Executive King Suite) was comfortable and clean! The Pit had excellent food and service! We loved it so much we decided to stay an extra night! We will definitely be back soon!
Upon arrival we weren't sure what we were going to find based on some prior reviews, however, we were pleasantly surprised! This "Inn" sits right off the square in the quaint town of Cooperstown, NY just steps away from the Baseball Hall of Fame. Upon arrival we were greeted by Tom, the Inn's manager, who was very friendly and ...

Historic charm, great service
By David, 02/18/09
Great authentic charm. Forget about the corporate places out on the strip - unless of course antiseptic sameness is your thing. The Tunnicliff is within walking distance of everything in town, and the staff are very accomodating. Sure its an old building but the plumbing was modern and worked fine, and it had all the audio visual stuff that ...

Won't stay there again

As other people have mentioned in their reviews, everybody working at the Inn was friendly and courteous. But the room was kind of tough to deal with. If you're over 5 foot 4, you're going to have a problem with the shower. And don't expect to find clean towels to be delivered to the room, you're on your own as far as that goes. So ...

This place is tthreadbare, dirty etc. I should have known that problems were ahead of us when my 7 year old daughter fell on the uneven front steps after the mortar crumbled beneath her feet. The room slanted, the beds were uncomfortable. When I asked about getting another room because of the slanting of the room we were in I was told "The ...
MY WIFE AND I STAYED ONE NIGHT OCT, 10 2007. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR BRIEF TIME IN COOPERSTOWN. THERE WERE A LOT OF CHOICES, BUT WE WANTED A TRUE OLDER HISTORIC PLACE TO STAY, AND WE GOT IT. IF YOU GO IN KNOWING THIS HOTEL IS OVER 200 YEARS OLD, AND THE SLANTING FLOORS AND CREAKING STEPS ARE PART OF THE CHARM, THAN YOU WILL BE PLEASED. WE STAYED IN ...

This Place Is GREAT!!!!!
By travlenmonk, 08/21/07
Not only is Tunnicliff Inn the closest hotels to the Baseball Hall of Fame, its service was exceptional. Everyone was professional and friendly. The building was amazing, and an opportunity to stay in a piece of history from the 1800s was wonderful. This is the only place that my family and I will stay during our trips to Cooperstown. Many thanks to the staff for making the trip monumental!!!!

Summer Fun in Cooperstown
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/09/07
Stayed two nights just my wife and I Just some quick notes on our experience. The location of this Inn could not have been better, located a homerun hit away from the hall of fame right in the middle of the town. Restaurant and pub on site featured a steak and crab leg special which was really great plus some nice local brews on tap. ...

What a Dump!!!
By baseballs_98, 07/08/07
What a ripoff!!! The staff is quite accomodating however this place is the equivalent of a flop house at $250 per night! We and another couple rented 2 "executive rooms" at almost $250 per night for each room and they are at the front of the hotel. Each time the front door closed the room shook. The floors were covered in indoor ...
