This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at in my life! Not only was the "Large King Family Room" small, but the bathroom was even smaller. The shower was smaller than my camper's shower! The staff was uncaring and lazy. Our first morning we awoke to two foreigners arguing very loudly in the room next to ours for about 25 ...

The people were very nice and accommodating.
This place is Very old - needs work! Floors in the hotel needed a good cleaning as did the room we stayed in. Bathroom door fell off the hinges. A/C did not work properly - after we cleaned the filter it worked a bit better. Reviews in yahoo did not match what I experienced.
Was not worth price paid.

Everyone is very welcoming, friendly and helpful, especially Tom, the manager. I met the owner one night, and he was great, too.

Tom took my active, chatty kids in stride. He is a Prince!

My kids loved the tables set up with board games, and the free hot chocolate that was always available. I liked the coffee.

I've been making yearly pilgrimages to Cooperstown with my son every February. I always stay at this great, historic inn. Place is spotless, charming, and very cool. Management is concerned and friendly. Make sure you eat in the lower level restaurant. Great local spot! Location is the best...less than a hundred yards from the Hall, right in the middle of town. I absolutely love this place!

What we liked:
- Location couldn't be better.
- Service was ok.

What we disliked:
- Didn't sleep at all due to uncomfortable bed. There literally was a wood plank underneath us that was hard as a rock. I think we probably would have had a better night's sleep if we pitched a tent in Doubleday field.
