What a ripoff!!! The staff is quite accomodating however this place is the equivalent of a flop house at $250 per night! We and another couple rented 2 "executive rooms" at almost $250 per night for each room and they are at the front of the hotel. Each time the front door closed the room shook. The floors were covered in indoor ...
Myself and 6 friends stayed here in June 2006 to celebrate my 50th birthday. They were so accomodating in letting my friends 'decorate' the room and in recommending various places to eat and where to get a fantastic birthday cake! They even let us rearrange the couple rooms we had to made it a little more comfortable for us all to be ...
We visited the Tunnicliff Inn on September 16-18, 2006. When I found the Tunnicliff Inn online, I was a little concerned because it was not listed in the AAA Book. I knew the hotel was old and that the rooms would be small but my husband and I both thought the location was great so we took a chance. When we arrived in Cooperstown, we were very ...
My husband and I came back for our anniversary to Cooperstown. We enjoyed the Baseball Hall of Fame, the shops and all the sites to be seen in Cooperstown. We stayed at the Tunicliff Inn for 9 awesome days and enjoyed every minute of it. The Inn is within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. The queen size room was cozy, clean ...
This is by far the worst place I have ever stayed at in my life! Not only was the "Large King Family Room" small, but the bathroom was even smaller. The shower was smaller than my camper's shower! The staff was uncaring and lazy. Our first morning we awoke to two foreigners arguing very loudly in the room next to ours for about 25 ...
We will never stay anywhere in Cooperstown but the Tunnicliff Inn. Great location, beautiful rooms, Tom is wonderful...A great experience for our family. The Hughes family Genoa, Illinois
The people were very nice and accommodating. This place is Very old - needs work! Floors in the hotel needed a good cleaning as did the room we stayed in. Bathroom door fell off the hinges. A/C did not work properly - after we cleaned the filter it worked a bit better. Reviews in yahoo did not match what I experienced. Was not worth price paid.
I've been making yearly pilgrimages to Cooperstown with my son every February. I always stay at this great, historic inn. Place is spotless, charming, and very cool. Management is concerned and friendly. Make sure you eat in the lower level restaurant. Great local spot! Location is the best...less than a hundred yards from the Hall, right in the middle of town. I absolutely love this place!
What we liked: - Location couldn't be better. - Service was ok.
What we disliked: - Didn't sleep at all due to uncomfortable bed. There literally was a wood plank underneath us that was hard as a rock. I think we probably would have had a better night's sleep if we pitched a tent in Doubleday field. - Unclean room. Sheets were ...
