My husband & I were looking forward to visiting the newly renovated restaurant having been long time customers. We did not make reservations so went very early for dinner at 5. The main dining room was empty yet the woman at the front desk told us rudely that they were fully booked. She did not even recommend the Tavern as an alternate or ...

Sunday Brunch Disappointment

The building has been nicely renovated though the historical charm of the main dining room is completely gone. If not for the beautiful view of the Delaware, you may feel as though you are in any modern restaurant. The noise level in the dining room is very loud - it became impossible to carry on a conversation with our friends. The traditional ...
We can not wait to get back there. Everything about it was top notch. The rooms, the service and the food. I would highly recommend this magnificent property.

Jewel of the Delaware

Truly the most beautiful restaurant in all of Buck County, the new Black Bass Hotel has gone above and beyond my expectations. The already gorgeous building has had an incredible renovation. They have managed to retain its old charm but now it is so much more sophisticated and elegant. It truly has a new life.
The Bass was a favorite of mine and my partner dating back to the commitment ceremony we had there in 2001. We had hoped that post renovation we could expect excellence in every way. We took close friends out for a special Saturday evening. We were all amazed at the architectural makeover, but we were treated to a level of service that I would ...
My wife and I celebrated my 49th birthday this past Saturday evening at the Black Bass. We were fortunate enough to celebrate the evening with four old friends and each and everyone of us had the perfect meal, in a beautiful setting with wonderful service. I had the mediterranean swordfish and my wife had the pork tenderloin. I cannot say enough ...
The Views are great and the renovation is fantastic. I live close by and have been going to the BB for years. My first visit post renovation was a pretty poor one. The service was awful. The bartender had the personality of a napkin and he seemed to have an issue with the other bartender/bar back. He definitely did not like her asking us if ...

Excellent lunch and view
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/18/09
We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. I was glad we had a reservation. They were doing a pretty brisk buisness. We sat out on the deck. The waitress was very attentive. Our party had the chilled mellon soup, black bean soup and the Crispy Scallop roll appetizer. They were all fantastic. The crab cake and Molasses Rhum and Pepper Painted ...

The new Black Bass has been renovated to as perfect a place you can make a 200+ year old building. We live near by and were eagerly awaiting its reopening. We ate in the Tavern area. The mahi mahi was great and the venison sausage was out of this world. Kevin the bar keep was friendly and attentive. We can't wait to go back, to enjoy the ...
