I had requested a non-smoking room and they placed us in a non-smoking room right in the middle of the smoking section. That didn't make much sense. We requested a move and they moved us to the far end of the non-smoking section. The room was nice, clean, but a bit run down and smelled a little stale. Conveniently located - very friendly and efficient staff. Very inexpensive prices. Would gladly stay there again on another visit. We had to unexpectedly increase the length of our stay there, and they very easily made accommodations available for two extra nights' stay.

One personal and convenient touch is that they stock personal care products (i.e. shampoos, toothpastes, combs, etc.) in case they are needed.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect - close to downtown, yet far enough away from the main stream so that it wasn't noisy.

Very economical rates - can't beat it!

I am writing this review from my room at the Budget Traveler Motor Lodge. I would highly recommend this as an affordable, clean and friendly place to stay while visiting Presque Isle.
