The only thing going for this hotel is the view. The rooms were dirty. The beds were less than marginal. There is no elevator. The food tasted OK, but our entire group came down with cholera from staying at this hotel. Yes -- you read that correctly -- cholera. One of the women was still sick a week after returning home and her doctor took a ...

Historical vandalism on grand scale and blissful ignorance
You should know this, all those who stayed at this hotel, and walked around it: you slept and walked on the top of desecrated and vandalized Jewish graves. When the Mount of Olives was occupied by Jordan between the 1948 and 1967, this hotel was built at the summit of the Mount of Olives atop an ancient 2,500 years old Jewish cemetery together ...
We recently spent 4 nights. No elevators. Had to clean the bathroom before I could use it. Bed wasn't made properly. Sofa was extremely soiled. Pillows would have gone to the garbage at my home. Only 1 English channel on TV. The TV in our friends room did not even work. Very disappointing when you are away from home and want a clean place to stay. Food was mediocre. The only good thing is the view of Jerusalem.

Upper Room in Jerusalem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/07
I have been to Israel 4 times and have stayed at the 7 Arches the last 3 times. I love the location overlooking the Old City in Jerusalem. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The service is very accommodating and we have gotten to know the people there by name. I love staying on the Mount of Olives and having such an awesome view of Jerusalem. I will go back many more times and will stay there again.
The Seven Arches is a favorite place for Touch of Heaven Tours. We love the view, the clean rooms, the food, and the nice people that take care of us while we are guest at the Seven Arches. It is so special to sit in the garden and look out over the old city, View the sun set over the city right at our hotel. Thanks to all of you at the Seven ...

Looking forward to see the Sun rise over the Old City once again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/07
I liked the service and the location. If you didn't want to walk down the palm Sunday trail into the Old City you had rides available.
I loved to watch the Sun come up of a morning and see the Old City light up, (I don't have words to explain it.)
In front you had several places you could set and look over the old city and over the valley. I don't think I will ever forget my stay. I stayed a couple of time in 1998 and 1999

WE CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/06
My family and i loved the food and service, we went there when tour groups were allowed to go back into jerusalem back in april of 2001, we were the only group staying at the 7 arches at the time, and we loved, it. One of the best features of the 7 arches would be the view of jerusalem from the front of the hotel, it's just breathtaking. So if ...
