    Hotel was dirty and worn-out.People were nice but the hotel needs a renovation.The food was okay for Bhutan.Try to stay in another hotel.Try not to stay there

  • A place to avoid

    Our room was dreary and dirty. Curtains and bedding inadequate. Carpet and upholstery were badly soiled. Food was OK by Bhutanese standards. Understand the owner is building a luxury hotel not far away. Must be letting this one run down as a cash cow. Barking and howling dogs keep waken anyone who is lucky enough to manage some sleep on the uncomfortable beds.

  • Horrible Experience and you need to be prepared

    The Druk Hotel is Thimphu was so dirty that we covered our bed linens with our clean t-shirts before we could try to sleep. The bathroom was filthy....the front desk personnel would not allow you to take a cup of coffee to your room. The carpet in the room was so dirty that it made us sick...demand to see the room before you check in...We have ...

  • Okay but not luxurious

    This is a perfectly nice hotel and definitely the best in Thimpu at the time I visited (July 2005). However, make sure that you are booked into the newly renovated wing - there is a definite difference!

  • The Best Place in Thimphu

    The wireless internet is a blessing for Business Travellers. Best Restaurant. People are very nice. They could do more on the renovation of the Regular Floor.Executive Floor is suberb. Complimentary offer of Health Club/ Steam/sauna for residents. I almost changed my mind after reading tripadvisor's comment. But my stay changed my view.The comment in Trip advisor was bias.
