We are locals that booked several rooms at the Silverton for family and friends during a family birthday weekend. I reserved the rooms several weeks ahead on my credit card. The night everyone checked in the hotel staff charged the guests room on their credit cards and then also charged mine again. It has now been nearly a month of discussing this ...
My Wife and I dined at the "Twin Creeks Steakhouse" on April 3, 2008. The staff was great. Except for the Chef. We ordered the Shank of Lamb, described by are waiter, to be sliced off the shank and placed on top of a bed vegetables. My was great, but my wife's came with a 2" shank bone, that she found with no problem. Then she ...
My wife and I decided to try the Silverton for our last vacation and we're very disapointed throughout our stay. Service was very poor. From hotel staff, resturant staff, dealers and management all seemed like they didn't care or didn't know. We found the resturants to be overpriced and with "cheap tasting" food. We had a ...
My wife and I have stayed at the Silverton approx. 20 visits. Love the casino, it is one of the smaller ones, but if we wanted a big casino we would go to the strip. The buffet is great. The only mistake the owner made is the remake of the Twin Creeks steakhouse. It is now fancy and very over priced. When we want steaks, we go to the Waverly in the Cannery Hotel Casino.
We were GUARANTEED a specific room type for wheelchair access with an adjoining room several months in advance, even called back several times to confirm. 10 hours of driving to find out that we were lied to and that such a room was not in existence, which turned out to be a lie as well. Next day we were treated fairly by hotel manager and worked ...
This was our first stay at the Silverton and we are already planning another trip. The feel of both the hotel & the casino is so relaxed. I enjoyed being able to hear the music (great music for us over 50's) while I played the slots. Drinks were good, service quick, slots slow to take your money. The fish tanks are beautiful and well taken care of. This not a place for bring the kids, but wonderful for a couple get-away.
I waited in line for 45 minutes to check in and when i finally got up they told me there were no more non-smoking rooms. I took a smoking room and it was disgusting! It smelt horrible! And along with the smell the sheets were dirty. I couldn't even stand being in the room so I checked out and found a Holiday Inn Express. When I got home I called the manager at Silverton and told him about my troubles and he didn't even care.
Everytime I tried to go through their site I kept being asked to install Adobe Flash Player. What a pain in the rear. Every single time you changed on the site it popped up.
I am trying to book a nice getwaway for the wife and I and this is rediculous. I will be staying some where else given the recent bad reviews!!!
