This place seemed like it was beat up and on the verge of eviction. I felt like I was in tenement housing in the hallways. The room was clean, but the smell of smoke permeated the place...and they made me sign a waiver that I wouldn't smoke. They could spruce up the hallways and make them more welcoming. I kind of thought I was at a homeless shelter.

the fromt desk was poor skills. the room had a sense of smoke in the room. i wouldn't stay here again.

I just want to know why they are ALWAYS advertising for help if they are such a great hotel! That goes for ANY Heartland Inn so they must be asses to work for!

This hotel was fantastic!!! The staff were very friendly. They went above and beyond what many do! They were willing to go out of their way to accommodate my needs. There is no restaurant at this hotel. They maybe nice people here, but I wasted a trip across town to get a bite to eat and there was no food to be had.

The Heartland Inn is conveniently located near the Des Moines Airport. The hotel staff were friendly both at check-in and check-out. They gave us a lower rate than the rate we had booked on line. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, and excellent place to stay...Very nice pool area. Well staffed, and excellent service. Very easy to find, and lots of places around close to eat, or nitelife. Airport just down the road.

This hotel has a wonderful location and treats their guests like no other hotel I've stayed at. The service & amenities were GREAT!! Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night and wanted a nice place for the kids to swim. They had a great time. The next day we had a nice breakfast at the hotel. Nice place for the money!
