My partner and I stayed here for two weeks in February 2008 on the recommendation of our Cuban tour guide from our 2007 Sierra Maestra tour. We took our 18 year old neice. It was her first trip to Cuba (and our 6th) and she loved it. Quiet, relaxing, no lager louts stumbling around drunk at 10:00 a.m. like some of the bigger resorts. The staff and ...

My husband and I will be leaving for Los Galeones on January 22, 2008 for the 11th time. I am realy excited about the 2 weeks we will be there. We have gotten to know the staff very well since it never changes. We have found that the earlier you book the better the rates. I booked in August and the same trip through the same online company would be ...

2nd time there, will go again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/07
Beautiful views, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff - cannot do more to help, homely/family feeling between staff guests and guests, a wonderful place to go to.
Downside the road between the hotel and santiago de cuba is awful! Journey should be 45 to 50 mins but because of road surface, can take 2 hours!

Loved the location; peaceful, secluded and quiet. Great meals, wonderful staff, very friendly and very helpful. Amazing ocean views from the cliff-top. The beach bar/restaurant is wonderful and is run by a resident of the town of Chivirico; he is always ready to accommodate your requests and the lunches he prepares are delicious cooked fresh on ...

Outstanding for romance
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/06/06
Such an amazing place like no other resort. Quiet, private and quiet. If you like peace, tranquility sun, beach and privacy, then this is the place. Privately nestled on a hilltop overlooking the sea on 3 sides and a very special lagoon hideaway to swim free will feed the soul. With only 32 rooms, finding a private place to frolic on the lagoon ...

Best hotel we've ever stayed in!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/19/05
My partner and I went to Santiago in 2004 and we were booked into the Sierra Mar hotel which is a large resort. While on a day tour we had to stop and pick up some guests at Los Galeones. We fell in love immediately and changed to Los Galeones. It's small and beautifully kept, at the top of a hill with with a great ocean view and the cook is ...

We loved Los Galeones
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/06/05
We just returned from a weeks vacation at Los Galeones. We loved the resort. It is a small, quiet, 32 room, adult only resort. It was great to get away from a very cold Toronto and away from the typical hussle and bussle. The weather was perfect each day, the temperature got up to about 28 celcius each day without a cloud in the sky. The views from ...
