Likes-LOCATION!! Can't beat the price for its location. It is ONE block from the beach so we simply walked there with the hotel's complimentary beach towels. They also let you borrow their beach chairs, which is good because beach vendors charge $32 for two chairs & an umbrella at the beach. Club Bed was behind the hotel & Mansion ...

Bad experience, filthy, loud, rude management, not a good place to stay. The room was not clean - it had been cleaned by the maids, but was deep dirty. The shower did not work properly. I began to suspect that the room was toxic after feeling ill in the room, and better when outside.
I stayed here for my honeymoon and it was not great. Parking alone is the worst. They dont have their own parking lot and the nearest one is down the street. It is like twenty dollars a night and if you leave and come back its still another twenty dollars although its the same day. The hotel room is soo small and you dont get a great breakfast. ...

Horrible Customer Service!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/06
My daughter and I arrived in Miami on Thursday, August 10th for a mini vacation. This was our first trip to Miami and felt it was more appropriate to stay in a location that everything was in walking distance. The Blue Moon is perfect for that, however, do not look for 4 or 5 star service/room; even 3 stars is pushing it. The staff is as mediocre ...
This was a really nice hotel. I was semi-upscale, but nothing like the big chain hotels. It was in walking distance to the beach, and overall a great location. The staff was really nice, and the rooms were so cute. I would recommend this place for a couple for an inexpensive romantic vacation.

Average hotel, very expensive

I paid $200/night to stay here, and it was equivalent to the $99/night hotels on south beach. The rooms were small, but clean. There are some amenities, like free booze from 6pm-7pm everyday, and free beach chairs. When I checked out, they gave me someone else's bill. They only paid $129/night for the room, so shop around. This is a decent hotel, but definitely not 4 stars. Overpriced.
Excellent location--short walk to beach. In heart of art deco cafe/restaurant/club district. Thought this place would be cuter and quainter. Two wings. We stayed in older one. Room was tiny. Faced wall/hotel room across the way. As a result, room was amazingly dark. Air conditioning did not work well. One tiny, claustrophobic elevator. Not enough ...

Very disappointing

The walls were so thin it sounded like the people next door were in our room. We felt like we had no privacy. We didn't sleep all night because of the noise.Light bulbs were burnt out in the bathroom. Neither the bar or restaurant were open and this was the Christmas season. We cancelled our other night and stayed elsewhere.

Friendly staff, excellent service. Nice clean room, nice size bathroom. Excellent location. Small pool, but most Miami boutique hotels either don't have a pool or its really small.
