This was a lousy excuse for a Holday Inn Express. Breakfast had less than half the usual, advertised varieties of food, the "workout room," is a bloody joke, and there was no water in the tiny little dungeon of a workout room. The pool is unheated and dirty, and the rooms are WAY too small. All in all, I will stay anywhere, but never again here.

While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel/motel itself lacks a heated pool (although the solar heating system is there!), lacks an elevator, has paper-thin walls, and, as has been previously noted, sits next to a railroad switching yard, and the sound of metal on metal brakes is like listening to ten thousand fingernails on a giant ...

The hotel staff welcomed me with brownies, popcorn and iced tea upon check-in. When I entered the room I was surprised with a letter from the management welcoming me and an additional snack and bottled water. Internet access in the room making my work easy to accomplish and the lobby business facilities all free was wonderful. Stay at this hotel for all your business trips to Barstow.

An average "Holiday Inn" - clean room, good food. If I'm every asked for a hotel recommendation, I recommend this one. The management bends over backward to accomodate, but it's nothing I wouldn't expect at a "nice" hotel. You can bring the dog!

We arrived late night and the clerk was more than helpful. Not only did she check us in to a room quickly, she got us extra pillows, towels and a roll in bed before we were able to get ourselves into the room.
