First time to Japan, among the four 5-star hotels we stayed, Biwako Hotel was the best. We were convinced to try the hot spring public bath the hotel provided and are happy we did it. We had a room facing the lake, the weather wasn't good enough to see the other side of the lake but other good things made up for it. We definitely would like to go back. Be prepared this hotel is not cheap at all.
