When I went to Indianapolis for a convention with two other teachers, we did not make the reservations. We were a bit nervous about how far we were going to be from the convention center but the hotel runs a shuttle service - as needed. You simply call them and they send the shuttle as quickly as they can!! We simply parked our car - for a ...
I followed advice from betterbidding.com and other places to ensure that I would not get University Place hotel, as it it NOT "downtown". Techincally according to their map it is, but you need a cab to get there. I'm from Indy... what's the point of staying in a downtown hotel if I can't walk??? Anyway, a few weeks ago Hotwire ...

This place is not downtown INDY

If you want to stay in downtown Indy, do not go to priceline and book a hotel. I got stuck at this place which is a mile from downtown. The management of this hotel should understand that when people want to stay downtown they do not want to be a mile away from everything. Please remove this hotel as a downtown hotel on priceline
Watch out for a 4 star - without pool - you got the UP - not a downtown hotel - IUPUI great but not close to downtown Indy - shame - stole my money last year wont happen again. Priceline lost a customer over this - Hotwire gained one. Buyer beware!
The hotel and staff were nice. I would have liked to have had something for the teen guest such as a pool or hot tub. We were in town for the State Basketball Championship and of course we had some very restless teens.

probably OK for business travelers, no good for travelers on vacation

The restaurant stops serving breakfast at 9:30AM, far too early especially for a Sunday when guests might be out late the previous night. The televised hotel tour indicates that breakfast is available until 10AM. After 9:30AM, guests have to drive somewhere to get breakfast, as there is nothing within walking distance. The foodcourt in the nearby ...
Could not believe how close to the hospital this was. From time left our room to hospital 5min. Shock look on our faces when opened the door and saw how beautiful it was. The staff was great. Had many questions answered and when ever needed something they were available. One staff member even warmed up soup for my daughter after restaurant hours. Hope we don't have to return but would stay here again and again.
The room was great! The king bed was extremely comfortable and the room service was very quick. I was an outpatient from the hospital , and they picked us up at the hsspital that evening and because it was raining took us back the nest morning. They also gave us a better rate due to hospital visit. Close to downtown for shopping and eating out.. A definite THUMBS UP!!!!!

Very poor and disappointing!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/06
We were very disappointed in our stay! We had family at the hospital and the rates jumped tremendously from what we were given just 2 months before. The room was nowhere near worth the cost we had to pay. We have stayed in other hotels that were cheaper with much bigger and nicer rooms. The resturants were very expensive and the food court had ...

Very friendly, helpful check-in, extremely clean room with quality white sheets and bedding. Free shuttle, lots of little touches like fresh flowers in lobby, cool sports based prints on walls. Our room had a flat screen type TV with a great picture and a fun radio/alarm clock with different styles of music to pick from. Even liked their bath mat, ...
