We stayed there for 4 nights. The hotel is very comfortable. People are very nice and made us feel at home. Breakfast is great! The neighborhood is quiet and safe --we walked around even at night! There are fast food restaurants nearby, and you can have food delivered to the hotel. All in all, worth the money!

Train is too far from the hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/09/08
There is no kettle, no safe box in room and all the safe boxes behind the reception are fully occupied the time we visited . We were so struggling to keep our money and passports, in the end we left our passports at the "reception area" for 5 days. Staff are impolite, unfriendly and not so professional ( comparing to london )! Air ...
Traveled with a group of 8 women and stayed here to visit NYC. We felt safe in this neighborhood even at night we walked to the subway. The subway was only about 10-15 walk from hotel. The breakfast was decent. The only problem we had was teh cab from LGA airport had a time finding the location for some reason and had to call the main station and ...
This hotel worked out well for our visit to NYC. It is very quiet, despite the QMT name. The staff is helpful, and they have a nice breakfast. The room and beds are comfortable and clean. This is a great "base of operations" for a visit to New York.
Note that the "3 blocks to subway" are long (avenue) blocks--maybe a ...

Holiday Inn Express May,2008.
Expressway is close to hotel but thanks to online imformation we had our ear plugs with us. Very comfortable accommodation and helpful staff. Again because of on line information we knew it was only a 10-15 minute walk to the # 7 subway station through a quiet Queens neighbour hood both day and night. Ask for a ...

A NY Bargain but Sort of Far from Subway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/31/07
This hotel is certainly cheaper than staying in Manhattan. The neighborhood is not great, but it is still OK. It is safe enough for me, a 26 year-old woman, to stay there again. From reading online, I was under the impression that the hotel was about three blocks walking distance from the subway. Wrong! It is easily six blocks--still walkable but ...

best value for expensive NYC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
Located just off the expressway with plenty of safe parking spaces, this is the best buy for driving to NYC and visiting Manhattan without going broke. The subway is exactly 15 minute walk through a good neighborhood to the #7 line (15 minutes to Manhattan). The hotel itself is the standard Holiday Inn Express (much newer than the old Holiday Inn ...
The hotel was difficult to find but, Elizabeth, the Check In Associate helped me locate the site via cell phone. Parking on crowded city streets in a residential area was scarce but adequate.
The rooms were clean, modern and adequate.
This hotel is a small jewel near Manhattan with reasonable value.
The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The staff is courteous and helpful. The only draw back is that there are no restaurants close to the hotel. Other than that this a great place to stay.

Stayed Aug 18th-Aug 21st 2006
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/30/06
This is a great place to stay. Very reasonably priced, clean, and friendly. It was about a 15 minute walk to pick up the #7 Subway (which takes you into downtown Manhattan) and I was nervous, especially at night, but nothing happened. People said hello as they sat on their front porches. There are two small convenience stores along the way and ...
