Unlike the Cloister which is too pricey and not very comfortable, the Lodge is relaxed and has a wonderful staff. We go there regularly with friends for drinks and dinner and it never disappoints. To hear the bagpipes at sunset is worth the visit.

Stay here, not the Cloister.

The Lodge is preferable to the Cloister for a number of reasons, with the obvious advantages if you are a golfer. Even if you are not, however, the drive to Sea Island is only about 10 minutes tops, and it gives you a chance to explore St. Simons en route. The Lodge is also much quieter, and I think the staff is a little more relaxed. There ...

The staff was very comforting, and willing to service you every need. Every one seems to be interested in making your stay as pleasent as possible. The location is excillent. And the food is great.
