We went there in Y2000 when the hotel just opened. Services was great but only 2 out 4 restaurants were open at the time. We went to Italian restnt.(can't remember the name) and it was perfect. You can also walk next door to Marriott if you like their ammenities too. We got a good deal because it was first opened, but $199 a night is still reasonable price for the marble bath Large oceanview room and sizable balconey

This a wonderful place to stay because they have the best bell captain and the cleanest and the neatest house keeping. They also have delicious food and gorgeous rooms with amazing views. Most importantly, they have the best of the best of the best infiniti swimming pool. It is possibly the nicest accomodation in the JW Marriott hotel. Overall, we LOVED our entire trip and the JW Marriott would be a smart choice to stay in. Enjoy!

We spent a week and had a great time. The service at the pool, in our room, from the concierge, the lobby staff, and restaurants was great. The pool overlooking the ocean is fabulous and has a lot of sunning room. The hotel is in the middle of the hotel district with shopping and dining very close. Getting into and out of Mexico was the only hassle in our glorious week.

My first time in Cancun and an exquisite hotel was the best combination. Since the time you arrive is a long white-stone entrance, magnanimous but at the sime time so cosy. Absolutely pleased with cleanliness, service and overall appearance of the hotel.
As soon as anything was requested, it was addressed within 10 minutes. Loved it that we were able to have clean towels multiple times a day.
Liked the location as it was away from any crowds. Close to many restaurants that suited our taste. The beach was clean, quiet and the surf was rough just the way my husband and 2 boys (15 and 17 years old) like it.

The location was nice, but the hospitality of this hotel was poor. Even though they over booked our reservation, they just ask us to stay at their conference room for three nights without any service, there was not a glass of water for three hour with my 5 months old baby. I didn't want to tell such a horrible story, but I feel sorrier if I didn't tell the truth to the public.
