Imagine crossing a resort with a Holiday Inn and the Springmaid Hotel is the result. It has several pools, meeting rooms, pier, and an uncrowded beach but the rooms are typical for a 2-3 star hotel and the service is satisfactory. The breakfast buffet includes a large selection of cold and hot food but it is cafeteria style.

I attended this resort for a cheerleading camp. As we left we noticed all of us had money stolen from our wallets which were inside our purses... inside our bags. The maids HAD to have went THROUGH our stuff to find the money. I have never been so disrespected. A friend of mine lost 100 dollars, another lost 30, and two others lost 20. I lost 40. I guess this just goes to show you to NEVER TRUST THEIR MAIDS.

this hotel is nasty it had roach bugs in it it had throw up on the walls along with human waste on the wall it smelled the counter was broke, tv was beat up cabneits hanging off the hinge, the class of people there are very low class so they would not care about staying in that!!!!! The ceiling was about to cave in!!!!! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU WANT TO SLEEP WITH ROACHES

This is truly what I would call a Bare-Bones Hotel. Just because they have 3-4 pools does NOT make this place a resort. The room was totally basic - double beds, just 1 room. It was fairly clean. The young lady at the desk was very helpful and nice (we appreciated that), but it just was NOT a resort by any means.
Will NOT go back.

This a great place to stay with all the grassy area to let the kids play in, the pier to fish off of , the game room and the put put course it is perfect for a family vacation. The location is set just off the main strip, so there's lots to do but still privacy. However, it's apparently directly under one of the take-off strips for the airport and we heard very loud jets all night long.

We spent a full week at the Springmaid and we were disappointed in our stay. We booked with the Springmaid because of the pier and the location. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to it's advertising.

Check-in was fine although the desk clerk wasn't overly friendly nor did she give us clear directions on parking or elevators.
