My husband and I went to the Emerson for my birthday and what an amazing experience we had. We had a Luxury Suite at the Lodge and while it was expensive, was worth every penny. I brought my 2 kids (14 and 10) and Misti, my two-year old Poodle, yes, the lodge allows pets! The front desk went way out of their way, they even walked Misti while I was out at dinner. My daughter, only 14, was able to get special permission for a manicure and pedicure. The spa was beautiful. They gave us coupons for free coffee and free ...

I have been to Emerson Place several times, staying both at the sumptuous Inn and here at the Lodge. Found the Lodge to be a good value for the room and quality thereof, plus you have access to the Spa and shops at a reasonable rate.

Cozy comfort in the mountains
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/04
Love this place - lots of comforts - soft bedding, great linens. Warm staff. exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Location is perfect to get around to local towns and even Woodstock. The quaint Main Street in Phoenecia has great little shops. Ricciardella's restaurant is surprisingly good food. AND Sweet Sue's has the best pancakes along the Eastern Seaboard!
