During our round trip in Oman, we stayed at the Golden Tulip in Nizwa. We were 10 charged 10 OMR extra, as this was 'an off the rack booking', and not reserved in advance. The day before, another receptionist told us, rates were always 65 OMR standard...
The 10 OMR extra was not clearly indicated before we got the room.

Went there this weekend - good place to stay in Nizwa. the service is of good standard however the location could have been better. the rooms are decent in the scence of cleanliness, however bed comfort could have been better a notch. Overall I liked the place.

I entered the hotel at 22:00 and left the hotel at 05:00 next morning due to strong smell of the sewage system in the room and the very low quality of mattress. When I told the front desk about this they did not even offer my a simple appology!!!
