Some rooms are in the historic inn while others seem to like a modern quicky hotel out back. Not clean enough for me inside or out. Old, historic, quaint are all wonderful. Shabby, worn and retro fitted....Pass!

Romantic Getaway!!!

What a beautiful setting for a romantic getaway! The Catoctin Inn & Resort has recently been purchased by new owners and is in the process of being totally revamped! Not only did we have a great meal at Quills at The Catoctin which was recently opened (a fine dining colonial restaurant complete with costumed servers), but a full service day spa is in the process of being added (we can't wait).

Quaint but smelly

While the Catoctin Inn is very quaint and historical there are a lot of "feral" cats roaming the property. Many of the rooms reek of cat urine and the inn doesn't seem to be prepared to or have any inclination to do anything about it. Meals served in the inn's dining room very very good but be prepared to take your time. Both ...
