We have been there in the past, so we made a reservation for March, but could not make it due to my fathers illness. I was told they would refund me the charge of one night stay to this day they have yet to refund me my money. I have made a ton of phone calls to them and I just keep getting the run around and being told that they put the refund ...

Good restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/09
Have not stayed at hotel but ate there a few times. Food is very good. Ambience is great. Everytime I ask to see a room however, they tell me they can't show me one. One pool looked nice though there was a constant swarm of bees that seemed to be residing in the rock waterfall formation, and the other pool was dirty. The beach at the ...
Beach is not swimmable. It is too buggy for words from dusk until dawn. Not a typical beach resort location for families. That said, we went in November of 2007, found it almost deserted. We had the place to ourselves. Extremely clean. Rooms and beds were spacious and comfortable. It is expensive for a parador, but by Florida or Hilton Head ...

Overpriced, average cooking, overrated!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/01/09
My husband and I went there for a family reunion. They said they had a special offer that included all the food. My family signed for that "package" and it was the worst mistake! The menu was limited, drinks (sodas) were NOT included, rooms were crappy for the price we paid and the A/C unit didn't worked most of the time!!! On top ...

Bug infested nightmare, stolen cell phone, etc.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/03/08
To call this a resort is to stretch the imagination. You cannot swim in the water because it is a toxic mangrove! Salt flats are deserted and dangerous, really dark (creepy) at night. Bugs EVERYWHERE, all kinds of bugs. Itched the whole time. Management is evasive, surely, sneaky. The food, contrary to all the reveiws, was just OK. I would stay ...
My husband and I did some research on the Paradores of Puerto Rico. We came across Bahia Salinas in our guide book and decided to see if it was really as wonderful as it was described. It was even more beautiful than we could of imagined! We had booked a hotel room in San Juan for 5 nights, and even though Bahia Salinas was only 2 1/2 hours away ...
Seve yourself a nightmare vacation. There is no beach on the premises just mangro and mosquitos. The management staff are verry improfecional and incompetent.
They sound good at first, but then if you need them to assit you in any problem the'll trow you under the buss.
Is a shame to run such a hotel, in such beautyfull place like Cabo Rojo.
There are much better options in the area, plese take yuor time to check.
One of the only places that I have been that you feel you can literally touch the stars! It took me a while to write this review but in looking for the new destination this year I found myself rating it to my June 2006 destination to the Parador. I enjoyed the simplicity in its design. It made my wife and I feel humbled by its view, especially after dark.

Like almost everything, dislike that don't have a lifeguard in the pool. The service was very nice, the food was good, the music on the weekends could be more tropical like more merengue and salsa.

Weird but lovely
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/07
The owners of this remote and charming place need to post new pictures on their website--because one of the best things is that it is strangely but beautifully set between active salt-collection flats, and a wide shallow nature-preserve bay (Bahia Salinas). The pool is wonderful, the buildings are charming and romantic, and the restaurant is ...
