The rooms were nice but very "cold" not a very friendly hotel, ideal if you want to be in the centre of Durban. No so good if you do not have your own transport as West Street can be dangerous. Pick-pockets and Protitutes looking for bussines not very pleasant

Sweet memories

Trifle in the end of the meal was so sweet... Reminded me the days of my youth in the boarding school, nearly shed a tear... Same did the litlle petit fours-stale and disguisting! Is thath a five star international hotel or implementing Paris' jail diet establishment?

DISMAL DESSERTS
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/07
My husband and I were recently taken to dinner at your Rainbow Room, by a friend, whilst visiting Durban. Whilst your savoury fair on offer, although not particularly memorable, was not too bad, sadly the same cannot be said about your sweets and dessets. What a shock! There was almost no selection, and what there was bore more than a passing ...
the only hotel in Durban i would consider staying in. U get what you pay for and the best doesnt come cheap - but it is worth the money if you prefer the better things in life.
