From the start, the service at this hotel was amazing. The staff took the time to learn our names and make our experience comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect, since downtown Portland is the place to be. This historic hotel has been completely remodeled, and the rooms are great.

This is one of the more luxury romantic hotels in all of Portland. The rooms are incredible and very tasteful. Although my stay was short, it was very memorable and I would highly recommend it to all of my friends and their spouses.

love the rooms, great service, decent gym, nice freebies - they bring me little gifts in my room when I stay there. wine, chocolate. free wine tasting in the lobby in the evening. it's a bargain.

We've stayed here several times and each time it's been a truly enjoyable experience. An old department store that's been repurposed, the rooms don't feel like cookie-cutters and there are unique touches here and there. Fabulous restaurant and lovely spa.

I like Kimpton hotels. They are the opposite of bland. They aslo go out of their way on the customer service. I like to work out and this one has a decent onsite gym but also for a fee provides a pass to a nearby club...which is nice for longer stays. I read about the hotel in a travel/fitness book--the athletic minded traveler...the book was right.
