These are some of the best rooms in all of the casinos in which we have stayed. Large, clean, with a table and two easy chairs, fridge - don't like the one cup coffeemaker and we are both big coffee drinkers - was not impressed with the casino - small, old machines, slow elevators between floors - we have been there three times and have yet to win anything.
Yesterday was my birthday and we planned to spend 2 nights at Sams Town Hotel. For being 14 years old, the hotel is still in good shape and our room was clean and nice and had a great view.
My complaint has to do with the buffet and the lack of professionalism of the staff. I was walking out with a few cookies and was stopped by the manager who ...

Not great, not bad either.

Likes: Great location, large room with a lot of space, fridge in room, luxurious tub, makeup mirror.
Dislikes: Room was not cleaned properly. Trash on the side of bed, hidden by the covers. Found it when I turned the sheets back. Used q-tip in the closet. When checking out, desk person was rude, dismissive, unhelpful. Raised her voice in ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/22/07
Clean rooms freindly unsnobish people like other hotels in Shreveport. The gambling and food were great. But the casino host was great. He did not have to comp our room but he said he wanted to make us a life time customer of there hotel.Well needless to say he did.We loved there buffets clean and very cozy. The rooms were over looking the red river which added a little more flare to the very roomy spotless rooms.
We stayed on the 6th floor overlooking the city. The suite was so nice. The bath room was large with a nice dressing table, hair dryer, one cup coffee maker. There was an iron and ironing board in the nice hall closet. We had a king size bed and it was ok except for the tiney thin pillows. We enjoyed the 5ft pool and the hot tub. They had plenty of ...

Did not stay in hotel, but went to the casino, It is the older one on the river. My husband and I spent 2 days and nights there, we played a lot, spent a lot and won nothing. I would take my cash elsewhere. The Shreveport area is nice, and the people are nice, but we did not enjoy the casinos

Now I know what happens to all the old slot machines from the other casinos. They go to Samstown as well as everythong else. This place needs to be torn down and start all over again. It looks like reject casino city. Everything is old and dirty, the elevators are scary they are so old an diryt and smelly. This place is horriable 1 through 10 for sure ----10.
I stayed at the other casinos there and this was the worse by far. The comforter had holes in it. The bath tub was dirty and didn't drain well at all. The buffet was below expectations. Last of all, I gambled a good amount and I couldn't even get a free buffet. It was bad from the start and just got worse. Stay some where else!
