I would def. go back.....great location, cute.trendy interior and great onsite resturant

My fiance and i had just left to see the sights. She realized she left her engagement ring on the bed. Went back a half an hour later and it was already gone. Cleaning staff claimed they had not seen it. The staff was not very helpful in trying to get the ring back. We even went down and went through all the laundry with no help from the staff. Never found it.

The Monaco has major building issues. Ofter there is not hot water because of the broiler system, no heat or a/c at times. They tell the guest that a pipe broke but that is not true. Mgmt is very young and new to the hotel business this is why the staff has a don't care attitude. They spent alot of money on decor instead of the building. ...

We just spent 5 nights at the hotel Monaco in Washington, DC. We had reserved a suite and upon arriving were shown one in the basement with windows extending a few feet down from the ceiling. the room was semi cleaned. the hotel was great. the food was great. the pool was great. the service was great. the lobby was great. i would stay here again.

I have to admit, the location was great, but for a Kimpton Hotel, this place did not compare to others. Many issues:

1) Concierge did not know anything and were not prepared to give any correct instructions for any of the events or attrctions around town (they were wrong 3 out of 3 times, so we stopped asking them)

2) Broken applicances or ...

The hotel is in a historic building and has some beautiful features, including lots of marble and very high vaulted ceilings. The decor is funky and fun, but not overly luxurious.

Went with husband on business trip for 3 days. Very nice hotel and very courteous staff. The location was great...close to Chinatown and MCI Center. The hotel rooms were on the small size but were very clean. We would definitely go back to Hotel Monaco!
