The location is Great... You can walk to the beach, close to the Del Mar Fairgrounds, local restuarants, and most important Shopping. They have excellent service and very clean rooms. The beds are very comfortable and the free hot breakfast in the morning was great. I recomend this hotel to everybody.

* loved the room -- huge & quiet
* nice walk to the beach
* nice walk to The Belly Up Tavern for great live music, even at night
* great breakfast room, but even nicer to walk the half-mile to a superb little restaurant with great food
* would definitely consider staying here instead of in San Diego proper -- it's a ten-minute drive and better value for money

I did not like the fact that I requested a non smoking room when I made my reservation and was given the smelliest smoker room. I have never stayed in a smoking room but I know that I will never again do so.
The balcony was nice but the generator next door was loudly obnoxious so this made it impossible to enjoy.
The beds were uncomfortable also ...
