The first room we were given at the $179 online rate was facing inward looking at the dumpster and litter of the adjacent shopping center. The hallway had not been vaccuumed some time showing all kinds of debris. The room carpet had spots and was also not vaccuumed well. The curtains were torn.

I discovered that until recently, the hotel allowed smoking in some rooms. Now, however, all rooms are designated as non-smoking. My room smelled like cigarette smoke and I don't smoke. Needless to say, it was not a pleasant experience.

Since this hotel is the best ever I would say.......

I called for a reservation for a suite or room at this hotel over 60 days in advance. When I asked for a smoking suite, I was told that they could not confirm a smoking suite.
When I asked for a smoking room instead, again I was told they could not confirm a smoking room. They were happy to reserve a non-smoking room for me, and put in a request ...

Our group loved the Courtyard Milwaukee Downtown. The rooms are very comfortable, the service is great, and all of our requests were honored. Our group consists of many who are handicapped and each person was taken very good care of. We also loved the location, we had access to shopping, eating, and it was very easy to go back and forth to the Indian Summer Festival.

The service was great. The room was basic but clean. The location is great. Don't bother to bring your swimsuit for the pool, as it's more like a bathtub.
